Still sick around here. Thank you for all your kind words and suggestions. Since Saturday I have taken Vitamin C, lunched on kimchi for probiotics, and washed between my toes. For explanation, read the comments here.
Back soon. Hope you are all well and well-hydrated.

Oh Lisa, yes, this is the season of germs and viruses. Funny movies and TV shows are an effective antidote.
(again, too fast!) … get well soon and happy toes washing!
Still sick here too, and getting cranky about it. Sorry you’re still sick also.
Same sick house across the United States at this address as well. Misery. Think it was that last minute RUSH to over-supply larder pre-Tday, all those people, all those hugs and breathy greetings. Worst turkey I’ve ever made in my life, inedible, just as well as we both were quickly ushered into flu-ish viral coughy snuffled sleepless blecchh. You have my utmost sympathy.
Add vitamin D to that regimen, my dear – large doses, between 2,500 and 5,000 IUDs every day until you heal. It really WILL help, trust me.
Sorry to hear you’re under the weather – I was quite ill last week & I’m still feeling wiped out so now I’m on the Berocca Boost – you can read all about it on my blog today. Get well soon!
Yes to hydration!
Hope that you are keeping warm and resting.
I like those zinc lozenges when I get a cold they seem to ease the sniffles and soothe the throat.
Take care,
Hostess

Sorry to hear you’re still sick, keep resting up.
We both caught a nasty bug ten days ago and were miserable. I am so sorry you aren’t better! Please take kind and gentle care of yourself!

feel better soon!!
Lisa, so sorry to hear you are still not better. These things need to run their course, meanwhile read, watch movies and drink lots of hot tea and honey.
Get well soon.

Suddenly all those square icons next to the commenters’ names look like magnified cold germs.

Lemon and honey in hot water is lovely, of course– but around here it’s hot tea with sugar and shot of Bourbon to fix anything that ails ‘ya! Colds included.
Hope you feel better very soon.
I think everyone is sick. I’ve got a cold that I caught from dear Grandpa, Mom’s got something that put her in the hospital with breathing problems (I’m blaming Grandpa for that 1 too), sister is sick, SIL is sick, you are sick… But I’m the grumpiest.
Hope we all feel better soon!
Hope you feel better soon, Lisa!
Rest, hydration, and hot baths usually help me.
I hope you are better soon! I love those Emergen-C packets. I swear those are what kept me illness-free throughout college except for the very last semester (I blame my thesis).
I second Ally Bean and even the thought of kimchee terrifies me. Hoping you’re turning the corner on this one.
Um the toe/white washcloth/sink thing is kinda creepy.
And I don’t creep out easily.
Hope you’re napping and reading something silly like Maeve binchy:)

More get well wishes. Add some fresh ginger to your tea.
Best wishes,

Buck up little cowgirl and get well soon.
oh NO!! I read your post and my first thought was “GET OUT, she’s contagious!” LOL Internet viruses have their way on us, don’t they? 15 days in will be your first day out and feeling better. Good luck, keep the tissues handy. =)
I second the idea of bourbon with tea and honey. That will help, and if you have enough of it, you won’t care anymore!
Do get better soon.
Feel better soon!
OMG, Lisa, you must get well in time to attend Tina’s Christmas party, my darling !!
Oh no…so sorry, colds are just about one of the most annoying things out there. If you dare, my mom swears by eating raw garlic to prevent and cure colds (and every other germ related annoyance out there), and I tend to agree. She eats it on buttered bread, I on the other hand, chop it fine into olive oil, let it steep, then plop big spoonfuls onto Essential Bakery’s Rosemary Bread…or, I sprinkle it on pasta (with sauce or veggies)….you’ll smell a bit ripe the next day but it really works. Another tried and true is Echinacea…drops, tea, any way you can take it…seriously boosts the immune system. And if all else fails…there’s always a ‘spoon full of sugar’…actually, that might be preferable after eating the raw garlic!
Hope you feel better soon…

I hope you are taking it easy, enjoying some down time and feeling better soon Lisa!

BOO! HISS! Hate to hear you are ill. Recover quickly my dear! XO
How about just a plain old Hot Toddy? You know–a shot of whisky, some sugar, maybe a little lemon, and a glass hot water. The hubs swears by it! (I can’t drink so I get to suffer with meds!)
I do hope you are feeling better soon. You probably now, rest, drink lots of water, honey, citrics… echinacea. Be in the couch with a good book.
