Yes, I’m on break, this doesn’t count. The RewardStyle people wrote me to say the Shopbop sale is on, at the exact moment when I was browsing Pinterest street style and realizing that the bag of the moment is an over-sized, soft-sided clutch. Envelope, fold-over, pouch, all good options.
And all available at Shopbop for 25% off, with the code, FAMILY25.
Of course if you’d rather look at the Vince slipon sneakers (also on sale), as a reasonable person might, Grechen’s got her highlighted items up over here.
Pretend you didn’t see me?

thank you, lisa, as always, for your endorsement :)
love all the clutches you’ve featured, but i can’t picture myself EVER using a clutch. not even a large one! i’m afraid i’d put it down somewhere and forget about it…
Well, we’d have to “clutch” it:). Definitely for fashion first.
Ha, @grechen, that is my exact thought about clutches. If it’s not a crossbody don’t even show it to me!
Nice selection. I am looking for a larger clutch to take to dinner .. it’s so much easier than lugging a large hand bag.
Monica.
I generally carry a clutch in the evening. I just put it on my lap at dinner. I think it dresses up my jeans, boots, sweater uniform. A very nice selection you’ve shown us.
Sympatico. :) I just learned of that website earlier this evening, when I was searching for the brand LaROK. They advertise that they sell it, so of course there isn’t any, and now I’m not speaking to them. ;(
Thank you Lisa! I live by the clutch in Vietnam. A wise woman who has lived here for years said I should stick to the clutch, one that I could grab in one hand with a wrist strap. It’s the little things… ;) Best wishes for a lovely weekend…
I’m tired of you telling us what STUFF to buy and where to buy it. Your blog has devolved. It is less about “style in the context of culture” and more about shopping tips and sales. You portray yourself as better than that. The consumerism that you are pushing is not why I’ve read your blog for years. I shall choose not to read, rather than be bothered by your annoying ‘what to buy and where’ posts.
Sorry to offend you. I try to balance the “stuff” posts, which are fun for many, and the more personal, analytical writings. Clearly in your case the balance has tipped. If you read the post on talismans, which I wrote this week, it’s more in line with the side of the blog you prefer, I believe.
And if I’ve ever portrayed myself as better than stuff, my mistake. The aesthetics of stuff are very dear to me. I don’t buy it all, but I always like to look.
