If I were stopping by La Garçonne today (who now have a bricks and mortar shop in New York, which means of course that I’d be in New York, I’d be inspired to dress insouciantly but with a little polish. I’d like my stripes vertical, and muslin, if you please.

Such a cute look., I can totally see you in this. One needs the right legs to wear those short pants. Hey…those look like my loafers!
@Sue B just a @highheelsinthewilderness.blogspot.ca, Hey! You’re the one with legs for miles! That said, yes, I would wear these pants, with shoes that were just a little less clunky, I think.
I agree with Sue! This would look perfectly perfect on you.
@Patsy, Why thank you!
Ooh, I like that. Wish they’d get with the program and open a store here.
@déjà pseu, Yeah, I know! Where do they get off, thinking that New York is the center of the fashion universe;)?
I shall stop by when I’m in New York next month on your behalf!
I also think this look would be fabulous on you!

Ah, please do! I’d love to hear/see what you think!
I LIKE it–and agree you would look great in this.
@Susan, Oh gosh. Such enablers you all are! Very nice ones!
Love this look! And I could absolutely see it working in retirement for some Polished Casual ( although perhaps not in the garden
@Frances/Materfamilias, I think I’d wear it with white jeans. For leaving the house, as one must. Not in the garden no, nor on the sofa, frankly:).
oh yes….
@susie, :)
The top and pants with your black Tango’s would be perfect I think. In California, it would be a dressy outfit. Is muslin itchy?
@kathy, It would be day dressy for sure. I’d go with Birkenstocks, and that would STILL be dressy for the market but as long as I am comfortable I’m good.
Muslin is linen and cotton, so I’m thinking maybe a little bit at first and then lovely?
The vertical stripes and the color are wonderful, as is the idea of muslin. I could absolutely see it on you for those times when one must leave the house.
@Mardel, Needs must;). I like the neckline too. My goodness we may be talking me into this…
Love this, but honestly, if I could stop by La Garconne, I’d go in my underwear if I had to!
@Mamavalveeta03, Hahahahaha! They’re in Manhattan, I mean, eventually we all show up in Manhattan, right?
I have those exact shoes, bought around 1998! Some things never change.
They really don’t:).
