My son, my daughter and my daughter’s boyfriend are here. We’ve planned a morning of sorting and decluttering their old stuff, giving away some of my old furniture, and renting a Uhaul. Then we’ll head up the hill to my dad’s house to celebrate Father’s Day with most of my siblings and their families. Pretty much tops on my list of happy.
Have an absolutely wonderful weekend.

I’ll wish you a wonderful weekend as well, but that wish is already superfluous, isn’t it? Lots of hugs, I’ll say, grab lots of hugs.
A weekend with both children home is a perfect weekend. Enjoy!
Lucky you, it sounds sublime!

Decluttering sounds wonderful. I’ve been doing that at our farmhouse today. Happy Father’s Day to your father.
You are very lucky to get your children to participate. I am at the stage where I send emails with the choice of give away/throw out or ship it to them. (They live far away.) Fortunately they almost always choose the give away/throw out option.
Have a wonderful Fathers’ Day.
Please thank your father for his erudite, informative and entertaining autobiography. Would love to sit next to him at a dinner party!
Sounds wonderful! Hope your weekend continues to be fabulous.
Sounds really wonderful. Enjoy every moment, I know you will. xo
sounds like a lovely weekend.
I am remembering my father today…grab those hugs like mater suggests.
Thank you everyone! It was a blissful, occasionally ecstatic day:). And Sandra, I’ll tell my dad, and thank you.
Happy Father’s Day, Prof C.
I hope you’re having a wonderful day Lisa.
Glad to hear weekend went well!
Thought of you last week twice. When Michelle Obama wore Christopher Kane & when my kiddos started an ‘About A Boy” marathon. Too late for show but sure we will all see plenty more of Kane :)
Both days were lovely! I didn’t know about Michelle and Mr. Kane, it’s about time;). A moment of silence for About A Boy…
Sounds like a very lovely day. My father has been gone for more than 20 years, but I still miss him.
Here is a new blog that you may enjoy. This young woman writes on clothing, home décor, beauty, etc.

Thank you. I am sorry you lost your father so long ago.
Our now tiny family spent the afternoon apart: daughter working at the marina for the summer, husband on an ambulance call, and me napping. But we came back together for what is becoming our Sunday night tradition: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and something on Masterpiece Theater. Daughter went gaga over the star of “Poldark”…aka: Cute dwarf cousin from The Hobbit series.
Wonderful tradition.
