Jewelry Sales For Your Weekend, Or, Saturday Morning at 10:58am

As of yesterday my commission program with Blue Nile came to an end, so today is a very appropriate time to share a “secret” sale code with you. Today is also this particular sale’s final day. (Yes, of course I’m still thinking about the election, but we contain multitudes. There’s a time and a place for it all.)

Blue Nile Gold Paperclip Necklace

Check and see if EMAILSECRETBF works for you. On certain items, like this $1500 necklace, I see a 50% discount. I bought a similar necklace from a local jeweler 25 years ago, and I find it really versatile and therefore useful.

These also show up for me with a 50% discount. Simple, modern, just a little original.

Blue Nile is good for classics. If the code doesn’t work, their Black Friday sale will begin soon. I don’t know when, as the concept of sale dates has overflowed its boundaries like self-propagating Playdough, but soon.

Now, if you want Brooklyn cool instead, there’s Catbird, also having a sale. Or if you prefer Palo Alto rich and earnest, I can recommend a local artisanal shop, De Novo. But half off is half off and sparkle is, well, not priceless but helpful.

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends.

  1. Thank you for the tips. I’m baffled by how long “Black Friday” has become, why it now begins in October, and whether I’d regret an early purchase because prices may drop lower still on the day itself. I was actually considering a pair of small diamond studs from James Allen, but I’ve never purchased from them before and am wary as always. Any thoughts on their quality?

And for your weekend, hope: https://time.com/7178402/hope-instead-of-cynicism-essay/
I needed it severely. Perhaps we all do. I remember President Obama telling us to have hope, and I see that in a new light today: a light such as at the end of a tunnel, but one most of us are still determinedly making our way through together. I hope you have a lovely weekend. ❤

  2. “Versatile.”

Not only do I love the chaste nature of the necklace, but I also see how it can be adapted to other purposes, such as moving toward this blogger’s Great Grandmother’s Suffragette Necklace. https://www.instagram.com/p/DB_xQf0JpuJ/?img_index=3

Add a touch of amethyst, of green, pearl. History, purpose.

“They” say Sad is a cover for Angry. I’m stuck at sad for now.

I love the necklace, thank you. And, yes, after I overrode their 30% discount with your secret code, it came out as 50% !

    1. Oh, I’m so pleased you could take advantage of the code! And I can imagine charms fastened to the necklace, to commemorate and inspire, if you are so moved. I love the trio, amethyst, green, pearl:).
