Today, essentially, I must see something that’s new to me or risk implosion. This will require leaving my house this morning. Here’s the plan.
Go somewhere. Get out of car (I’d walk but believe it or not I have a broken toe). Look around. Get back in car. Come back.
I will take pictures when I arrive where ever it is I will have gone and I’ll post evidence tomorrow morning.
I will be wearing a mask. I will be responsible.
See you soon!

Please enjoy Lisa!
Understand exactly,
Very best,
Helen
Oh I do understand and feel your boredom. We nipped out to Trader Joe’s yesterday, wearing masks, and did speed shopping. It was just so nice seeing something different. We should probably go for drives more, perhaps out west, see what we see.
Totally get it. Enjoy. Some sea air, perhaps?
What an amazing plan! Enjoy the trip, the freedom, the wind in your hair, the view, the sea ……

Hope you’re having a wonderful time.
Hi Lisa,
I hate to say this but maybe this is what a later in life rebellion looks like. Just have a wonderful time! Also, how did you break your toe? This is the year of the foot.
XXOO,
Luci
I like Dottoressa’s image, the wind in your hair…
Enjoy! My husband went out on his own to try to shop, then chickened out and drove home. Our kids found out and he got lectured! Sorry to hear about the broken toe – there’s usually not much they can do for that except tape that toe to the adjacent one.
Hope you enjoy your adventure! Sorry about the broken toe, those can be so painful given how little they are.
I have a problem toe which is the result of surgery gone wrong. It ended up rigid, and longer than the others and as a result, it is easily stubbed, and has, as a result, been broken several times.besides taping, I have discovered that the fairly clunky Teva sandals serve as a good rigid base that allows me to get back to walking quickly. The orthopedic surgeon concurs. You might find that helpful.
Enjoy your outing. Being home bound gets tiring… for everyone. We had snow over night in to the morning. Just an inch but still a full cover of white does not feel like Spring. I made chicken soup today. Delicious and comforting given the cold weather. I will look forward to photos of your travels.
Fair enough. I felt the same way yesterday, so my husband and I went to the local shops and got a coffee. We walked around drinking it and then went home. Just had to get out of the house, and not just walk around the same old streets I’ve been treading for the last four weeks.
Completely understand where you’re coming from.
I’ve done the same thing this week, minus the broken toe. I think the reality that there is no “end date” to this pandemic is possibly making some of us realize that we need to have some of these kinds of breaks in the routine. I hope you enjoyed it – I actually find it mixed, because I also feel sad about what was, and how long it will actually be until there is a return to a safe feeling. It’s been a tough week.
I hear you! I’m living in my garden and relishing the occasional trip to home depot (curbside pickup, of course.) Stay safe!
