Happy holidays, Lisa, and all of the commenters here! Thank you for brightening my weekends all year long. I hope you and yours have a wonderful, healthy, happy holiday season.
Happy Solstice on this darkest of days!
Have really enjoyed your missives. I grew up on the Stanford Campus at the height of the anti-war movement and yes, much privilege … another era.
I left home at 15 and have led a very different life, not in academia but the arts. Yet, I am still grounded in that world for better and worse.
Your intelligent writing and generous spirit remind me of some of the best parts of Palo Alto.
Blessings and deep thanks.
We had our first real snowfall over Friday night here in Princeton, and woke up this morning to a winter wonderland – if only for the morning, before it all began melting. Does that bring back any college memories for you? Have the happiest of holidays yourself, dearest girl, shared with those you love, and with good memories of Christmases past. And don’t forget to put out that ironic silver spoon in the bowl of red and green M&Ms!
And a special Happy Holidays to all your delightful and devoted readers, whose conversations with you here have brightened many of my weekends…
