High WASP True Colors – Navy #3

And for the High WASP dinner party at home, a little black dress is a tad too austere. Navy blue will hide the stains from roasted red pepper relish or corn fritters or homemade blue cheese dressing or malted milk brownies or ma po tofu, just as well as black. I could continue. But I will restrain myself. It’s all about restraint.

Is it High WASP or declasse to join organizations of this sort? Is it better just to know in your own heart? Sincerely asking, as I have no ability to reach High WASP status, at least genealogically.

  4. even when I thought it couldn’t be done, your past few posts have managed to increase my love of navy.

  5. I wasn’t a big fan of navy, but you have made me a convert. I am a girl in finance, so a navy blue plantsuit might be in order!

  6. You should follow this up with a post about the art of coordinating shoes with navy. Navy shoes never quite match, dark brown is just boring, and the yellows, tans, and cremes are highly dependent on shoe style and material.
