Happy Father’s Day Via Passage To India

Professor C. will return to Privilege with a piece on Forster’s “A Passage to India,” the last week in June. The movie is here and available to members of Amazon Prime to stream for free, the book is here and here for free on the Kindle. I thank you all for having provided the impetus for this father-daughter collaboration. It’s been quite a lovely process.

Happy Father’s Day everyone.

  1. This is just fantastic. Can I send over a well polished apple for the teacher?
When we were staying at Edith Wharton’s old house, I kept thinking of your father!

  2. “A Passage to India” is my favorite Forster novel, and David Lean could do no wrong, of course. Looking forward to it.

  3. Oh, this is one of my favorite books! (Can I have hundreds of favorite books?) But I’ve not seen the movie. I think I shall be utilizing that free streaming video feature tonight, after I watch Noah Wylie on the SciFi channel that is. I love good literature, but I can’t promise the same for my television viewing.

  4. Oops, Noah Wylie yes, SciFi no. There goes my assumptions and my carefully framed architecture of reality. I’m probably better off with A Passage to India

  5. The movie is also available on Hulu.com for free – with commercials :(

  6. Can we make an online book club. We get our assignments and a couple of weeks later we get our lecture from Prof. C. Discussioin to follow in comments.
    I love it!
