Join us tonight! If you happen to be around!

Brigitte, my stepmother, and Patrick, her grandson (my son) have a joint show at Gitta’s longtime gallery, Themes+Projects. Opening tonight; all are welcome! I’ve seen some preview photos, not mine to share, but it’s a beautiful installation. The exhibition title makes particular sense when you see everything hung, as the juxtaposition of works provokes thoughts about fiber, light and the way all materials and subjects transform each other. I just love when art makes my mind dance.
Have a happy weekend, everyone.

What fun!! Wish I could go — I really enjoyed the preview. It looks phenomenal. So proud and happy for you!
A wonderful weekend and congratulations all around. ❤
“When art makes my mind dance.” What a beautiful thought. Congratulations from the east coast!
Hello Lisa, You have often talked about Brigitte’s art and your son’s art, but somehow I have never thought of them as artists at the same time. With all that talent concentrated together, those lucky enough to attend will have a great experience.

What a wonderful pairing!
Lisa, congratulations – how wonderful – and how long will it be up? I may be visiting my son in SF later this spring to design his garden (date NYC). Beautiful photographs! M
The preview page confirms that it will be on view until March 28: https://www.themesandprojects.com/artists/fiber-and-light
The artists’ statements are as thoughtful as the photographs. “A soft, rounded dream, stuffed with cotton and laughter” just melts my heart! So interesting for one exhibition to cross generations and examine how we all reflect off of each other.
So, the show’s probably closing right this minute. I want the pair you’ve shown at the top – they’re dynamite shown together, like that. Lemmie guess: SOLD.
All best to the Carnochan clan, yet another triumph!
Thank you all so much for the comments! The event was great, big crowd, lots of people connecting and reconnecting, happy son and proud mama:).
