May your capacity today exceed its normal limit, may your shoes be comfortable, your outside voice be heard far and wide, may your ears beg forgiveness for all the honking car horns, may the marchers all be safe in their locations roadside, may your plea for “moar flowers” be heard. Big day for big things going on. Meanwhile in my red state, red county, red city, “No Kings” wouldn’t even allow the address for the event to be publicaly revealed online without registration credentials. Two neighborhood FB groups had to terminate Comments at 1,000. March on, our Noble Leader!
I protested in downtown LA. Great signs, a lot of spirit. Unfortunately the official program seemed chaotic and there were competing loud sound systems so you couldn’t hear the speakers. Missed opportunity. But at least we were counted.
I had knee replacement surgery in November and hoped that would allow me to attend at least one No Kings rally in Houston this year. I have to wait for the next time but I was there in spirit andwatching as much of the coverage as I can find. Love to you all.
You are heroes. Hope everyone had a fun and safe day — and hope none of you have to travel anything like as far as I do to find like-minded people. I am sooo tired but grateful and gratified.
Happy weekend, Lisa, and thank you so much as always for our little community. I love your sign and agree wholeheartedly! (Insert flower emoji here!) :)
Huge turnout in Portland, Oregon! Watching local and national news this morning, hoping to hear something about the numbers. Maybe 30,000 here? We also could’ve used a better sound system, but people milled around talking, reading signs, and then tumbled into the streets, following the wave. Husband and I took the light rail downtown and back which was so easy, with our “honored citizens” discount, and the camaraderie continued amongst sign-bearers on the train. Beautiful weather here helped, with temps in the low 60s.

Hello Lisa, Since I am stuck here, I give you my proxy for today. In case you are still studying Chinese: 加油!

Ah, no, I switched to Spanish. I appreciate the well wishes in all languages:)
Stuck at home with a medical situation, sending virtual flowers your way!

Just got home from our local protest and saw a bunch of our neighbors there!
